Besides being the World’s Greatest Family Man, Brett is a founding Principal of Vernacular Studio. His sense of vision and big picture thinking has inspired many clients and propelled the success of numerous projects. Brett has a wide breadth of experience with diverse project types including corporate, public, cultural and interior upfits as well as an extensive background in historic re-use, space planning and programmatic studies. As a recipient of several prestigious academic and design awards at North Carolina State University, he has since been influential in several projects that have been recognized regionally and nationally. In addition to his already busy life, Brett somehow finds time to serve as an adjunct faculty member for NCSU’s School of Architecture, though he has been caught napping at work on occasion. Brett enjoys spending downtime watching his family grow and taking them to the beach whenever the tide is right.
