Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University
Vernacular Studio architects is recognized with the highest annual design award
given to area firms by the AIA Triangle chapter. The honor award for the Barker
Residence is given in the built projects category for the 2007 submission. It is
one of three projects recognized by the chapter with the 'honor award'
distinction from a field that included dozens of entries from the region. The
awards jury was chaired by Coleman Coker, AIA of the Building Studio in Memphis,
TN and New Orleans, LA.
