RESIDENTIAL

COMPLETED 2004

This 20,000 sq. ft. project
includes the 13,000 sq. ft.
addition shown in this image
along with 7,000 sq. ft. of
renovation. The new building
program includes galleries, a
cafe, an auditorium, gift shop,
and support spaces. It is
connected to the existing
structure via the sky bridge.
The renovation component
includes creating studio,
teaching, and archive spaces for
the art department. This
facility is the only part of the
university to touch King St.,
and is being treated as a
"gateway" into the campus. The
large glazed openings at either
corner of the building attempt
to connect the facility to the
community as well as the campus.
Brett Hautop, AIA was the
project designer + project
manager on the project.

Freelon Group architects was
the architect of record.
