Forever Fitness was born out of a young entrepreneur’s idea to develop a brand and prototype for an un-staffed twenty-four hour fitness facility to serve a niche market of “pressed for time” professionals. Vernacular Studio worked with the owner to create a low-cost upfit prototype that balanced an unpretentious modern interior with simplicity and flexibility. The design emphasized the creative use of affordable and common materials, where the visual aesthetic is the tectonic detail rather than the material itself.

The plan incorporates a new member vestibule that includes a multimedia presentation about the fitness facility where the potential client can learn about the facility and join without ever talking to a staff member. Member entrance to the facility is controlled through a biometric security system while visual security is monitored remotely through an online security management system.
