Designed for a young family of four, this house has been unofficially dubbed the "barter house" by its owners. In an attempt to maximize what they could afford they have worked diligently to trade services with everyone on the project and offer their own sweat equity wherever feasible. In addition, we have worked with the owners and contractor to incorporate salvaged materials, such as the dozens of brand new insulated glass panels that the owner received from a local university project. It is also noteworthy to mention that although this project is being constructed in an existing neighborhood with strict architectural covenants and an architectural review board, it has managed to maintain a decidedly modern street presence.
