Campus Wide Accessibility Study

In order to bring NC State University’s campus into full compliance with ADA guidelines, we are working to survey, analyze and catalog the barriers that remain for almost half a million SF of the campus so that future projects may be determined. We are collaborating extensively with the university and DOI to craft the most concise but inclusive report possible describing the scope of the future improvement projects endorsed within the final analysis.

During the inventory process, we will endeavor to specifically catalog the areas of deficiency. After the identification and selection process is complete, we will begin analyzing the physical constraints, cost implications, and opportunities for improvement.

With the goal of not only meeting the intent and letter of the law of the code, we hope that the recommendations made within this Master Plan document will guide and inspire the future design solutions to facilitate accessibility and improve the built character of the campus.
